At Maximus we have one seat available every year for someone with the following attributes:
- Aged between 32 and 40;
- with a business or finance background;
- strong proven leadership skills.
We like people with high levels of ambition and drive and that have made a few mistakes in their life that back themselves.
You will work with the CEO as a personal assistant/quasi analyst/investment banker/corporate financier/analyst. You will have the opportunity to be involved in everything we do – whether that is research into listed companies around the globe, or private transactions we get involved in. Strategic reviews of our existing portfolio of private companies, or practical involvement in the day-to-day running of those businesses, including decisions on capital allocation, marketing, product design, new business acquisitions or capital discipline. Even HR or high-level negotiations.
For the period of your employment, we will pay you a small-ish salary. If, through your interactions in the year, you manage to impress someone in our group enough that they offer you a job, you would become part of our family. If not, you would have had a 1-year real-life MBA like nothing else you can find. And at the end of the year, you will leave with more skills and experiences and hopefully be an ambassador for our business.
